Swanson, 76, a lifelong resident of Westford and World War II veteran who was a retired design engineer, died Saturday, Feb. 15, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. He was the husband of Louise J. (Carroll) Swanson. He was born in Westford on July 29, 1926, a son of the late Swan G. and Lena G. (Clement) Swanson. He received his early education in Westford schools and graduated from Lowell Textile Institute. During World War II, Mr. Swanson served in the U.S. Army Air Forces. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a design engineer for GTE in Westboro. Mr. Swanson was an honorary member of the H.E. Fletcher Club in Westford. Besides his wife, survivors include a son, Morris H. Swanson Jr. of Westford.
