Landon DuBois Ver Valin Dec. 2, 1927 - Dec. 17, 2000 Landon was born in Grand Island, Nebraska and moved to Seattle in 1941 with his mother Alyce and late father Hugh, settling in West Seattle. A proud veteran of WWII, Landon eventually established his home and family in Tacoma in 1954. He was in the fruit and produce business most of his life, at one time the sole proprietor of Landon's Produce, the only deliverer of goods to the small towns leading up to Mt. Rainier. He retired from West Coast Grocery in 1992 after 22 years of service. Landon will be dearly missed by his wife of 49 years, Pat Ver Valin, his loving family and many friends. In addition to his wife Pat, Landon is survived by his mother Alyce, sons Michael (Kathy), Tom (Linda), Scott (Donna), Steve (Jane), and daughter Lana Bacon. Nine grandchildren were also blessed to have had Landon as their grandfather. The family asks that a gift be made to either the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
